The Midwest Wild Relics Refuge is an organization founded by Eric and Tina Downing, dedicated to the operation, restoration and preservation of vintage Aircraft, automobiles and motorcycles. The refuge is located in an 8350 sq ft facility located at Creve Coeur Airport (1H0) in Saint Louis, MO. The goal of the refuge is to provide the public with the opportunity to experience vintage aircraft and classic cars in pristine condition.

The Douglas "Skyraider" was a design submitted to the U.S. Navy as a replacement for the famous SBD dive-bomber. Originally designated as the XBT2D-1, the new aircraft made its maiden flight on March 18, 1945, two weeks ahead of schedule.

With hostilities on the horizon, France went to North American for a version of the BT-9 called the NA-57. These proved very popular, so, just before the war, they ordered a further 230 updated machines.

Derived from the 1935 North American NA-16 prototype, a cantilever low-wing monoplane, the Texan filled the need for a basic combat trainer during WWII and beyond.

The Midwest Wild Relics Refuge has an extensive collection of classic autos, including a 1947 Indian Cheif (right), a 1939 Cadillac Model 75, a 1956 Ford Thunderbird, a 1964 Ford Econoline Van, a 1969 Chevrolet Corvette, a 1975 MG Midget, and a 1977 Maserati Bora.
